A "sneak preview" of a watercolor sketch by Alfred Sully, painted in 1856 from the front steps of the St. Louis Hotel and looking toward old Fort Snelling can be viewed at: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~white067/ The Sully sketch is one of 16 paintings, drawings and photographs in the exhibit.
